folk don't often trust it though as it goes against reason and logic. It is the instinct or first thought that folk will always say was right afterwards, as reason is a direct challenge to it and has the final say.
How many times do you say, 'I had feeling such and such' but thought otherwise. The thought is the instinct blocker. 'fight or flight' scenarios are the only time instinct has a better chance of survival as is fuelled by adrenalin and there is no time to think against the instinct.

Many times the 'inner voice' can be referred to as a 'conscious'. Generally speaking, when making a decision, people think (sometimes briefly and sometimes through agony) over the choices at hand. Then, a decision is made. If no inner voice is 'heard', then it can be safe to say, that through the best of our knowledge, we have made the correct decision. However, if an 'inner voice' is heard, perhaps there is more thinking involved in the choices than we initially thought and we should reconsider the options.

It is difficult to use such concrete worlds like 'always'. So, is our inner voice always right? Probably not. There are possibly times, when the voice taunts us and causes us to ponder unnecessarily. But, more than likely, the 'inner voice' is built into us to protect us and challenge us to make moral decisions.

For Christians, the 'inner voice' is called the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is essentially the Lord living inside of us. The Holy Spirit IS ALWAYS right. However, it can be difficult to decipher between our own internal desires versus the Holy Spirit. In these cases, a decision should be made based on pray, Bible study, and the feeling of peace around the correct choice.

It depends on the person you are speaking about. Some people would be better off if they put the volume control on their inner voices on mute.
