Many years ago, my wife complained that we did not have as much discretionary income an wondered where it was all going. I asked her to take over "bill paying" and manage the check book. She agreed and told me that she could do a better job .. Four months later, she gave me back the check book and said" Here! you do this stupid thing.I can't figure out why checks are bouncing". I took a quick look and saw that we were overdrawn by $788..00.
I soon realized that my darling, would sometimes pay a bill and add it to the balance, instead of deducting the amount. It was a sore subject for her, and I never mentioned it once in almost 30 years.

A "slight" financial mistake should not result in a big deficit. No one should be abused (yelled at) for that.

I've made those mistakes in the past.. balancing the check book and one miscalculation and boom I'm writing bad checks.. surcharges and overdraft fees can add up fast.. I haven't done that in a long time.. I now always try to keep a reserve of money in the account for just that reason..
But I guess I lucked out.. I wasn't married at the time and didn't have to explain it to anyone.. But I feel for you..

Grudgingly accepting existence as an inconvenience, and treating it as such, somewhat than embracing it as a present. i'm no longer an "optimist," because of fact i do no longer basically anticipate the main suitable... in reality, I continuously objective my optimal, yet anticipate something fairly worse than fact. it is not that i'm continuously happy. that's that I settle for my melancholy as a reality of existence, and that there is often day after today. And day after today, and day after today... and the undeniable fact that I relatively have continuously to stay isn't frightening and looming anymore. that's ideal, and packed with threat. the undeniable fact that those possibilities would possibly no longer come actual isn't a tragic concept to me; it ability that i'm able to daydream relating to the destiny continuously. Oh, and absence of existence my wonderful pink hair black. Then bleaching my fugly black hair, turning it into an evermore fugly orange. My hair is so broken and nasty =/

Before I do anything that involves our finances I always run it by my husband first and he does the same with me just to avoid problems :)

I guess it depends on how "slight" the mistake was. He keeps his money separate from mine, probably so that doesn't happen! : )
