Yes, black is the most formal color of shoe to wear with dark blue. Traditionally, brown shoes with them was a bad faux pas and was tres gauche. I say it still is, in spite of magazines who advocate such thoughtless stuff. Other colors will look good but are less formal. Cordovan, maroon, white or grey shoes are OK, but lighter colors are more casual.

Black goes with anything. In fact A really dark blue, like navy blue, is close enough to neutral. You could wear any shoe that's not too informal.

Black will if you tie something black in with the blue pants, such as a tie, shirt, or jacket. Personally, I prefer a more natural shoe color, a dark brown or copper shade.

Stick with black as they are the safest...but.....if you want to add a touch of colour, red goes really well and looks stylish, as do beigey/tan shoes.

black goes with everything . if they dont .. i dont think of any other color exept the dark blue is fine . but shoes in dark blue arent cool...exept the croco (that`s tooOO punk)
