The answer would depend on how we perceive beauty.
Is it a lasting beauty or a short-lived beauty that should be valued more? Sunflowers have very short lifespans, whereas blooming rosebushes can live as long as humans.
Would I rather be one rose on one rosebush or one sunflower? Blooming sunflowers produce overwhelmingly brilliant displays of flashy color for a short period of time. A rose also produces beauty, though much more subtle and longer lasting.
If it were me I would choose the longer lasting, more subtle beauty of the rose over the flash of the sunflower.

Gotta choose sunflower! Such happy faces! I would always take a sunflower to someone, rather than a rose. (Not that I have anything against roses!) Just a preference, like everyone else. One more thing--there is NO reason why this shouldn't be in philosophy. Good grief, you have "fans"--how presumptuous of you. Poor little susanflorence has no contacts at all! How sad. Keep up the questions--we love them!

Sunflower. The one that may not get the most attention but is the always freespirited and freewill and happiness flower. The flowers that blooms to live its day like the last. And when the sunflower does get the attention.....watch out rose....'cause it'll be a long time before ur noticed.
JUST KIDDING!
tHE rose is also a lovely flower...but I feel it is a more compassionate and passion and intensity symbolizing flower. And I am more of a freespirited, pure, and bright and bubbly type of person. So I picked SUNFLOWER!

A sunflower because I think in a way sunflowers represent peace and happiness. Roses are most commonly used for romantic purposes and when I think of roses, I think of someone sending them to their ex they deceived or to the person they're trying to court. Roses are overrated and sunflowers are overlooked.

A sunflower - they brighten the landscape and people can eat the seeds. Domesticated roses always somehow look contrived and though the petals have their uses, and rosewater is good for making so-called Turkish Delight (apologies to any Lebanese or Greeks), I can't take them seriously unless they're climbing wild across a fence.

I think I would rather be a rose. Roses give joy through their beauty and their fragrance. A rose bush will bloom profusely year after year and give joy to many. The sunflower must be planted each year and it's life cycle is relatively short. True, it does produce an abundance of seeds to feed the birds of the air, but in the giving of it's energy to this endeavor, it dies. After it's seeds are eaten by the birds, it's blossom is nothing more than a memory. If there is no one to plant the seed again next year, it will not bloom again. The rose will continue to bloom for generations, gaining more strength and adding more blossoms with each advancing year. In the hundredth year, the rose blossom will still be as beautiful as it was the first year. I wish to be a rose; plant me deep in rich soil and let me bloom.

well, i would rather be a sun flower...roses are over rated,,people always think of roses...sunflowers are unique..meaning that if i were a sunflower, i would be picked by a unique person that does not go for the commen every day rose. i would stand out...18 out of 20 ppl will say they rather be a rose..put us all in a line and only the sunflowers will stand out..making me intriguing...wich matches my personality...something different to offer....
