As a Englishman who has just returned from a business trip to USA is feel i must ask this question.Most Americans that i met have no hair and it is quite alarming to an outsider.Does anyone one why this is?

Sidney, I must congratulate you on the nature of your questions. Very entertaining, particularly some of the 'angst' in the responses, keep them coming. You are certainly touching some 'raw nerves'. "The truth hurts", as they say.
Probably the reason for having no hair is due to the 'ostrich syndrome.' This syndrome is synonymous with persons/organisations/countries etc... who create problems and then bury their heads in the sand and hope the problem goes away. Does this sound familiar?

Some of us have lots & lots of hair. Some men go balder as they age. And, there's been a craze here for a few years & it is young men shaving their heads absolutely bald.
It's okay if they have a well shaped head but if they don't....
look the other way !!!

Americans have lots of hair, what confusing you is that it's not on our backs (Robin Williams is an exception) I can understand why you like body hair so much, it's the only way your pasty, urinal colored complexion has any color at all.
