Students start at 5 years old and enter primary school. After a few years they enter elementary school. Both of those are combined in some places to be called grade school.

We start 5 year olds is Kindergarten (from German meaning childrens' garden)
Then 6 year olds go to 1st grade
7 year olds are in 2nd grade
8 year olds are in 3rd grade ...

Some parts of the US continue "Grade School" until 6th grade and then students go to a Junior High for 7th grade. It varies by location whether Junior High is grades 7 & 8 or 7, 8 & 9.

Other parts of the US end "Grade School" or "Elementary" at 4th grade and have a "Middle School". It could be just 5 & 6 or could contain some of what other places call "Junior High".

"High School" would be either grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 (Which is the end of free public school.) or if the "Junior High" has the 9th grade it the "High School" would be just grades 10, 11 & 12.

Sorry this is so confusing, but every city in the US gets to elect it's own "Board of Education" to control it's schools. Then there are state laws in each of the 50 states that limit the freedom of the board of each city within the state. Added to that there are federal laws that apply to the entire country. With all those varying laws from one place to another there are many different ways for schools to be run in the US.

The "school system in america" taught me that America should be capitalized as it is a proper noun.
That "wot" is spelled "what", that "lyk" is spelled "like", that "u" is spelled "you" and "2" is spelled "to."
Only one question mark is necessary.
"Confusin" is spelled "confusing."
"Please" is the first word of a new sentence and therefore should be capitalized.
I hope this helps.
