It depends on what it is, this question made me smile, because sometimes, you just can not resist doing the opposite, especially when it is something that irritates me. It is easier to do the opposite to make the point, then to argue about it, even though it may not be the best thing to do. I am aware of the temptation to do this, so I do avoid it most times, but sometimes you just cant.

It depends on WHO is telling me.
If the one who tells is someone I respect, appreciate and love, I take his word seriously into account. If it is a person I dislike or believe is not clever, I do not.
I know, this is not wise because sometime even people I don't like or think they are stupid, have something interesting or even helpful to say.
But, this is how I am!!! :)

when i was a teenager living at home, quite a lot.
no one tells me what to do now. my husband may give me advice on how to do a project easier if he sees i'm doing it the hard way. if his way is easier i do it that way, but if i'm more comfortable doing it my way i stick with my way.

no one tells me what to do........... i hate it......... !!! im an adult if i make a bad choice.. im to blame... and certainly dont want anyone tellin me what i should or shouldnt do !! i am my own man................... !! they may be right but i'd like em to respect the fact that im a grown up......... let me make my life or ruin it......... its my life !
