It's 5:45 am. I am having the worst time getting to sleep every day for several weeks now. Even hot baths don't do the trick.

I have tried the counting sheep thing. Haha.
I do suffer from mild depression, but that's not the problem I'm sure. I'm much happier lately. My sleeping schedule's just off. And when I do try to sleep, even when tired, it takes two hours on average to fall asleep.

I always have trouble falling asleep so I take either simply sleep or Unisom...you can buy both over the counter and niether are habit forming. They will knock ya out and you will get some good sleep. If those dont work you might wanna see a Dr. to put you on ambien or a somethin prescribed.

I have had the same problem for months on end. I wake up around 3am, and sometimes cannot get back to sleep. My doctor had prescribed Ambion....and that doesn't seem to work like it should. Perhaps if I didn't take that I would be waking up every other hour, like I used to.
Stress, anxiety, or depression are major factors to sleepless nights....I would go to your doctor to see what he thinks.

If you are eating anything sweet before you go to bed that could be causing part of your problem. My mom has this happen to her from time to time with things that have sugar in them.

As for other things to try and help you sleep one that I found always helped me was drinking a cup of warm milk (if not allergic to milk of course). Relaxing, soft music is another thing that you could try to see if that helps.

You may want to try some over the counter sleeping pills. Or do some extraneous workouts prior to going to bed, shower and go to bed.
