I think George W. Bush is desperately trying to get an immigration bill passed because it lets all of the employers who have been hiring illegals off the hook!
This is an EMPLOYER AMNESTY BILL in disguise !!!!
And he wants to prevent these 20 million illegal immigrants from automatically becoming Democrats.
The Democrats are definitely salivating at the prospect of gaining the majority of these illegals as registered Democrats.

The Immigration Bill if approved will definitely benefit the employers who have cuddled the illegals for cheap salaries. Thus, the Republicans will have their votes in 2008 to avoid a takeover by the favored Democrats.

The employers' needs are certainly a big factor. Democrats becoming democrats is true. I think Bush also has affection for Mexicans.
