Also what about hotels? Is it better to book through a tour group or to do it myself? How do I know where to stay and if I should move from hotel to hotel? Any and all advice would help. Thanks!

The London Eye is a must. Worlds biggest ferris wheel. You can see all of London from the top. Costs about $40 American. (that was 2 years ago.) The Eye is right across from the Houses of Pariliament. Pretty awesome, if you like that kind of thing. London is VERY expensive, just so you know.

One thing I didn't know to expect on my first trip to London was the fact that service in restautrants is nothing like that in the states. (I'm assuming you're going from the US?) There is no service when you eat out. You have to ask THEM for things. And the food isn't that good. (My guess is, you'll get very good food in Paris.) London has these great little deli's called, "Eat." You can't miss 'em. Cafateria style service with fairly good food. Easier to figure out than a restaurant, and quicker.

Learn the London Underground if you can. It's really not that hard if youve ever taken a subway. And it's the cheapest way to get around. "Mind the Gap."

If you can, I recomend taking a day tour to someplace like Stonehenge or Stratford. If you're staying in a hotel in a touristy area, there are bus tours all the time at very good prices.

Best of luck!
