Europe is a whole lot of countries, all of which have their own laws on the matter. The ages to purchase alcohol range from 16 to 21, depending where you are, although most of Europe has 18. To consume it as low as 5 (! really! on private property and provided by your parents a 5 year old can legally take a drink in the UK, although legality doesn't make it smart to give your kids a whiskey, of course.)
Most clubs I've ever been to (in any country) have entry age limits consistent with purchasing alcohol on the premises, so you are best to ask once you get where you're going, and make sure you have appropriate ID.

Depends what part of europe...
Europe is a big place.
I remember once going to a club in Serbia. After I paid the $10 cover charge (this is a lot of money for Serbia) I found that the club was filled with 10 year olds! Different countries in europe have different legal requirements Generally between 16-18 for beer and 18-19 for the hard stuff but the truth is they are not enforced that well. I think if you are old enough to walk in, you are old enough to be allowed in many of the clubs I saw.
Anyways if you want to read some more information about travel tips to europe you can check out my blog at
