Eric Harris had dated and perhaps even had a girlfriend for a while early in his high school years. One woman several years older than Eric claimed to have had intimate relations with him about a year before the incident. (She turned out to be a little bit crazy, though, and it didn't appear that their relationship was in any way serious.) Eric tried hard to find someone to date (or have sex with) right up to the end and, in fact, had a date three days before.

Dylan Klebold complained in his writings about his being unable to find love. The high school girl who helped Eric and Dylan Klebold buy 3 of the guns they used in the attack reportedly had romantic feelings for Dylan that weren't reciprocated. (They were friends, however, and attended the prom together three days before the incident because she asked him to accompany her.)

I think Eric and Dylan's limited experience and/or success with romance suggests the difficulty with social situations that lead to their not fitting in well in the high school environment. It also suggests just how immature they likely were emotionally when they made their terrible decision.

Although it isn't inevitable, a romantic relationship (with or without sex) can teach us a lot about both ourselves and the world in ways that nothing else can.

Clearly, these boys weren't managing the process of growing up very well. Perhaps a romantic relationship would have made all the difference. Some of their writings suggest it would have.

And that's what one might call a vicious circle. (Lack of social skills leads to no romance leads to lack of opportunities to develop social skills leads to inept handling of relationships and on and on....)

I have no information on this topic about Seung-Hui Cho.

All I can say is in High school you have to start
dating or there is something wrong with you(not
my words).I was bullied and no girl would give
me the time a day. That is why today I have had
two suicide attemps and have no desire to live anymore. As I look back on Mills School and
the way I was treated I fantasize about shooting
up the school because I was a social outcast.
I had no friends and it hurts. They had a few
friends.I do not condone what they did.

False.
It wasn't a girl that helped them buy guns, it was a dude at age 21 who served time in Prison for selling guns to minors.

And if he/they was/were, what the heck does it matter, they took innocent lives. If being a virgin, was the root of this, then that is unacceptable, prostitutes come a dime a dozen and sluts are even cheaper, you don't have to kill someone because you can't get off. No, this is irrelevant. God Bless.
