EDIT: I just noticed you added the "why do you like this movie?". I would give a detailed description as to WHY I like this movie but you may have not seen it so I will refrain from giving too much detail. I like the meaning behind the movie. Basically man creates a robot that can love. The love of this robot is foresaken so the robot finds himself taking a journey to find happiness. If you havent seen this movie it is great and you should rent it and watch it. It also has very good picture, I like the style in which it was done.
Steven Spielberg's "Ai" or "Artificial Intelligence".

I cant say its my favorite of "all time" because I am young and it would be silly to label it my favorite of all time for I am certain I will see MANY MANY more movies in my lifetime.
