dont know if its really superstitous but besides needing lotion it could mean either poor circulation or low iron... i suffer from this from time to time and for me (according to the dr.) its poor iron intake.

Itchy Palms
Although there is some scientific explanation as to why our palms can itch, my experience with itchy palms leans more toward superstition or intuition. I have learned that an itchy palm is an indicator of fortune coming my way. I can expect that money will find its way into my hands very soon, usually within 24 hours. An itchy palm will deliver me a check in the mail or actual cash handed over to me. The amount isn't always significant, sometimes when I'm expecting cash due to the familiar itching a penny will be found on the sidewalk when I go for a walk. A penny doesn't disappoint me because I understand the law of attraction.

We need to be open to abundance in all forms to assure that wealth continuously makes a pathway toward us. If you refuse a small blessing such as a shiney (or dirty) coin in the roadway because you can't be bothered to stoop down to pick it up, the universe takes note of it. You would be in essence sending out the message that you are not grateful for this gift. Next time when there is a loose hundred dollar bill floating around in the wind, it won't be landing at your feet. The universe will see to it that it will go to another person who is more "open to receiving."

In Philippine superstition, it is believed that when your palm itches suddenly, either money will come to you or you can expect that some form of expense is coming to you.

I'm not sure which hand is attributed for money that comes to you (windfall and otherwise), but old folks say that it's the right one. You're supposed to scratch your right palm vigorously and then put your right hand in your pocket, as though you are pocketing money.

I've never experienced winning or receiving money after scratching an itchy palm (you might have noticed I've already tried it), but then I might have not noticed so, nor assume that the instances I received money came after I scratched my itchy palm. It's up to you if you're going to believe such a superstition.

I saw My dr. today about something else and also an itching on palm of my hand and he said it is a skin condition of a type that can be helped by ointment but never ever really goes away but the ointment sure helps and it isn't that big a bother. well first of all you should make sure that this itching is not because of dryness. Apply a good hand lotion or moisturizer. Now if it persists and the itching is in your right hand, it means you are getting some money soon BUT if its in your left hand, it means you are going to loose money.
