Non Veg - Subbu Mess. Good quality food at affordable rates. This is opposite to town bus stand gandhipuram.
Hari Bhavan - This is in Cross Cut Road Gandhipuram. Home-Quality Food and inexpensive too.
Veg - Annapoorna - they have many branches in Cbe.
Annalakshmi - This is in koundampalayam on Mettupalayam Rd. High Quality Food Served FREE OF COST.

In expensive means how expensive?
Anyway for the vegetarian try our Anna lakshmi near race course road. Supposed to be authentic and alot of variety.
My experience in Coimbatore is that one should go only to smaller less crowded reataurants.
