It depends on what kind of RAM your old computer supports. If it supports 133mhz SDRAM then you can use it. If it doesn't support it, then obviously you cant. I would look up and see what kinds of RAM your computer supports.

If it does support your extra RAM then to install it you will have to open up your case. Look on the motherboard for the RAM slots. Next carefully seat the RAM into the slot so the clips on both ends secure the RAM. If you can't get it to fit in the slot, don't force it. Not fitting is probably due to either trying to use the wrong type of RAM or trying to put it in the wrong way.

RAM slots typically look like this: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/ASRock_ALiveNF6G-DVI/images/10.JPG

Pull the cover off the computer and seen if you have memory expansion slots available and how many pins are in the slots on the mother board. If the pin count is the same the SDRAM might work if you pull the old chip from slot 0 and put the SDRAM in it's place. the old chip should be removed or put in slot 1 (the second slot) . If you don't have any expansion slots get another computer because memory upgrades will cost more than the price of a new computer.

This announcement does not look like a query however I might say it's actual. Most folks treasure the reminiscence in their old flame notably whilst that loves ends and breaks our center within the procedure. We are experiencing emotional affliction for the primary time in our lives and it's in many instances too strong to think we're going to outlive, and we in no way particularly recover from that old flame, regardless of how frequently we fall in love after wards. The reminiscence will regularly convey us to self pitying tears for we all know its over and it regularly can be.

Whats the ram speed on your old computer? is it 133 Mhz SD Ram?? if so , you can try it out .. but i doubt that it would support a 512 MB Chip .. your computer could possibly show a lower amount of ram ... but its worth a try ...

If they have the same module format, 168 pins w/ 2 notches, you could give it a try. BUT old computers may not support 512Mb per slot. My PIII slot1 motherboard only supports 256Mb per SDRAM slot.
