Excellent choice. If you didn't have algae established in the tank, is probably why the pleco died. Try a Pit Bull Pleco after you have some algae. It doesn't grow very large but is wonderful at keeping algae under control.

A pleco is a extensive fish and should be in a great tank. They died because of fact the area is in basic terms too small. maximum of toddler plecos die so youthful because of fact puppy shops do no longer tell those that they are able to get 2 ft long. virtually all plecos bought are improperly housed and barely fed nicely. So not greater plecos, ok? As on your betta, you may save Corys with him, 2-3. they're relaxing little backside feeding fish. additionally a small college of rasboras, 3 of them will artwork nicely. in fact any small, non aggressive fish will do. in the experience that your searching for something non fishy, attempt a pair of African Dwarf Frogs.

They'll get along fine, but i wouldn't recommend a cory cat in that size tank. Plus, cories prefer to be in shoals/groups of at least 3-5 minimum to thrive best. If you're looking for a cleaners, go with a mystery snail or two and a couple of ghost/glass shrimp.

A cory cat is ok with a betta as they have different levels of the tank to live in.

A cory needs to stay in a school of at-least 3-4 together and they need a temperature of 78-81 degree F to thrive well.

They won't fight, thats for sure.
