Beauty and brains are at the top of the list for most (all?) guys. We have better makeup, and skincare products, and more women are educated currently than have had before. So are we most beautiful now?

beauty is suppose to be in the eye of the beholder so it's whatever attracts you.

in my opinion, yes.

like you mention before, we have better arsenal to improve our natural looks more. Also, with the advent of better medicine and technology such as plastic surgery and such. Not to mention the fact that there are more people living on this planet than ever before, the possibility of combining genes of all ethnic groups and producing beautiful children/adults is really high. Like hitting the genetic lottery jack pot in looks.

But currently the ideal of beauty is disentegrating. Beauty is being substituted by Slutiness. this idea of Slutiness=beauty is litterly everywhere, from clothing to behavior. Beauty as once described by shakeshere or poets of past is now contorted into a strange female monstrosity that robs the owner of their own power.

I believe woman look better now at 40, 50, or 60 than they did when I was a kid. Used to be a 40 yr old mom had slightly gray hair and wore an apron alot and was kinda matronly. Not no more. 40 now is just the starting point.

However, I also feel that beauty is getting to be pretty superficial but on the top of alot of peoples list. Beauty has been alot of different things over the decades. Now it is defined differently that 50 years ago is all.

( Good thing about getting older is you have a wider range . Now I think woman look good from 18 to 60. Used to be just 18 -20)

No, but only a small, elitist standard of female beauty makes the cover of today's magazines. Also, modern makeup and skincare industries are huge because women shell out millions to follow the myth of female perfection. I would argue that women could be more self-loathing about their looks than former generations.

I think an education makes a girl beautiful. Same with taking care of oneself. Beauty should not require silicon breasts, botox injections, anorexic limbs, or other measly standards of female "attractiveness" in today's culture.

maybe. when i was a kid in the 80s the women looked great. now looking back to then it makes me glad that the 80s are over. what were they thinking feathered hair? leg warmers. as for your criteria yes. more educated. natural beauty shines through and i like that so makeup really is a non point. many women still use way too much makeup.
