Reminds me of a joke I got the other day:
A chicken and an egg were lying in bed. The chicken was smoking a cigarette and the egg turned to him and said "well I guess we answered that question!" LMAO!!

I would say the egg. Because every cell has a membrane that surrounds it. And the egg shell looks like a giant membrane to me.

I would say that it evolved from some other species by a mutation in that animal's DNA..... and if it happened that way I personally think that the egg would have to come first.

I believe that chickens hatch from eggs. They certianly do not hatch from chickens.

Actually, it was this smart allick little amoeba who was hangin' with his homies in the 'hood. They were all braggin' they could make an egg, and one of 'um actually did it! Rest is his(tory.)

i dont know where exactly and when,
but i remember some raido station saying when i was younger that in the bible it suposedly actually said the chiken came first.
