From what I saw, BABI is the name of a baboon god in Egyptian mythology, or in the Malaysian culture it is considered an insult because "babi" in the Malay language means "pig." (No offense, I hope.)
My full name is JANICE DAYL and my nickname is JAN (my first name is Hebrew for "God is gracious," my middle name is a derivative of Dale, so it is English for "dweller in the valley" since a dale is a low-lying area; and my nickname Jan is both a variant on the boy's name JOHN (which in Hebrew means "God is merciful"), or the name of a lunar god in Kachin mythology. My last name JOHNSON is English in origin and literally means "son of John (gift of God)".
