You could even get pregnant while you have your period. That form of birth control is called the rhythm method and is extremely ineffective. You should talk to your doctor about getting on the pill or shot. If you are a teen and uncomfortable talking to mom try you local planned parenthood.

Yes, that was day 6 of your cycle. Sperm can last for five days, and your ovaries can push up an egg if they know sperm is present. A friend of mine got pregnant on day four of her cycle! So, if you don't want to get pregnant, use protection!
