What happened to that show on MTV which was a contest where the winner got their own reality show?

This was a few years ago. I saw a few episodes and it stunk on ice. Then it seemed to disappear, and no show came out of it that I know of. Did MTV actually realize that it was terrible and pull it?

I thought the whole thing was just a 'fake'.
