I am wanting to purchase a Rinnai Convector 404 Gas Heater from Ebay but some say Natural Gas Heater and some say LPG gas and wanted to know what the difference was. Someone told me natural gas is what comes from the plug in the wall in the home and LPG is hooked up to a bottle. Can anyone confirm? Thanking you :-)

If you live in an area that has natural gas piped to your house then you need the natural gas version. LPG is fine if you are in a rural area that does not have natural gas.
Be carefull buying that from Ebay. When you deal with a product such as heaters run by either gs or LPG you need a qualified and certified technicial to hook them up. Installed and vented improperly can cause the deadly carbon monoxide.

I use LP gas. City gas is not available where I live or I would have that. My LP gas is in a 500 gal tank. I get 400 gal. at a time. Its under pressure so the jet is smaller. Natural gas has a pressure of about 15 lbs. so it has a bigger jet. Most newer heaters today do not have interchangeable jets. I like city gas better because of the price. It comes in from a meter outside.
Walk around around the house. If you have city gas you'll see the meter. Hope that helps.

1. Natural gas is found in the rocks of the interior of the earth . 2. LPG is natural gas liquefied under pressure to be converted to LPG. 3. LPG contains mainly butane ,with smaller amounts of propane and ethene.
