I bought a Dell that was around 1200 dollars. It has 2 GB ram, 256 Gforce MB graphics card, and 2.5 GHZ. Can you please tell me if this computer will support gaming well? For example Battlefield 2, Guild Wars, ect. I was pretty sure that I upgraded my Dell to a decent gaming computer, since the ram and graphic card are good enough for gaming.

My graphic card is 8600, and the processor is duo core.

It depends upon two things:

1) Which GeForce graphics card- 7600, 7900, 8600? If you're stuck with a 6150 or something like that, you'd need to upgrade your video adapter to a 7600GT or better. Given that the rest of your system seems pretty high-end, I'd recommend an 8600GTS.

2) What type of processor? A 2.5 Ghz Core 2 Duo or AMD X2 will be very, very nice. A 2.5Ghz Pentium-D or Celeron would be slow...

Your computer will be great for gaming- no worries!!!

I have pretty much the same to say as everyone else, we can't really tell without actually knowing the model of card, and the line of processor. If it's something like a 7800GT and C2D, that'd be great. If it's something like an FX5900 and a Pentium-D, that's not gonna be all that great.

Depends on a lot of factors. As it is right from the box it will do well. It's not a "gamer". Check out falcon northwest for a gamer and then start drooling. But for your budget it's all right. If not then upgrade a little at a time when you can afford it.

It should be more than enough to run the games you mentioned. I have no idea what is the model of your GeForce video card, but judging from its 256MB it should be a good one.

Yup, it sounds good for gaming. Plenty of ram and fast processor.
