well im doing a group presentation and i cant find the answer. well if you can help me thank VERY MUCH

Seems like a trick question, I guess if you consider that something that is already a liquid cannot "melt" again then you'd think in terms of underground water sources or if you want to think more globally then the motlen iron in the mantle which provides heat for planet

or if you think a little more locally then you could be considering things like salts/minerals. Stuff like nitrates, sulphates etc...

Are you referring to permafrost? if so that is only found in arctic and subartic regions. in temperate regions there is no permafrost.

dirt doesnt melt- and it is a great medium to grow plants in- or it can be water underground - and plants need it to grow-
