Mine most of you won't even know-Charles Laughton-stared in the unforgettable Hunchback of Notra Dame with Maureen O'Hara-was in Des Moines at a Legion Aux. convention and he and Agnas Moorehead and Cesaer Romero all signed my paper. Romer looked right thru me-Mr. Laughton had quite a conversation with me. Also the actress he married and can't think of her name but she was in the Bride of Frankenstein and also a lovely gracious person-Can't remember the name of the movie premier but we were all staying in the same downtown Desd Moines hotel, in Iowa.
As a patient at the Minneapolis Hospital for crippled children, about age 10, the artist who drew the newspaper Popeye series also gave his autograph as did the child singer star, Bobby Breen. Recently able to obtain 3 DVD's of his, some
70 years later. He was a cutie and had such a voice and was a pre-teen at that time. Wallace Beery came to Iowa to a premier and I called his room and he invited two of us up and got his autograph.

Oh yes, the woman Mr. Laughton married was Elsa Lancaster-also a charming lady who actually excused herself during our conversation in order to take a phone call.! Gracious person.

I was 18 when I went to see Marilyn Mansons art show on hollywood blvd. I met him, got his autograph on a poster and gave him a letter and an old old church pamphlet about how to be free of demon posession. I also got the guitar players (John5) autograph after the art show. Manson wrote me back with a drawing he did of himself in response to my letter.
Then when I was 19 I ran into him at a bar and he took a picture with me. I was the only one he would let take a picture because he remembered who I was :)
Also when I was 19, I went to the signing for the release of the then new Golden Age of the Grotesque and got Mansons and John5s autographs again, along with Tim Skold (Bass), Ginger (drums) and Pogo (keyboard).

It my case, it wasn't the autographs of action picture stars i replaced into after. extremely, it replaced into those of baseball stars that maximum intrigued me. adult males like Duke Snider, Bob Gibson, Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Ernie Banks, Don Drysdale and others. And the unusual element is, i replaced into in my 40's once I sent for such autographs. For a time ( interior the mid 1990's ), they have been obtainable by particular Nabisco products at seven money a bite, so I took benefit, when you consider that those have been adult males i actually observed play in individual back interior the 60's once I first developed an activity in baseball.

I actually have Tupac's autograph. I saw him at the store by my house during the 'I Get Around' days. I'll never forget what he bought, powder doughnuts, watchamcallit candy bar, and a bottle of orange juice. He signed autographs for my sister and two friends. I think i'm the only one that still has mine.

I got autographs from the cast of The O.C. when they filmed at my school from 2003-2006. Their high school was my school. Some of them have been in movies, such as Peter Gallagher and Adam Brody.
