First off, all I really care about is the child's health and safety. But, I'm fighting with my fiancee over the name of our baby. I don't want to, but she agreed before she got pregnant. Now she changed her mind. I wanted to name my kid this name for 10 years now and was really happy she agreed. What a let down. How should I deal w/ this?

Compromise, you can pick the middle name or use the name you like for the middle name.
When you have another child, you can name your child the name that you like.
Hope this helps.

There are a bunch of names that I like. And instead of bringing on the stress with the boys names I want and trying to get him to change his mind. I just am going to let my husband name the baby if its a boy.

Maybe you should stop fighting with your fiance, and just sit down with her and tell her how you feel.

The fighting is def. not good being pregnant.

Do what my husband did to me with my son: We could not agree on any names, because he wanted to name his first son Matthew, ever since he could even think about babies.... ..I did not like it...So, we decide to wait until the birthday...and when we saw his face he kind of looked good for the name...I guess he has a Matthew's face..hehehe!! maybe that will help....Tell her to wait before making any decision..and explain to her how important is for you that name...My husband also picked my daughter's name...he picked my middle name..he loves it...and it fits her...

you need to sit down and calmly talk it over with her..not sure when you two had the baby but usually you have 30 days to register the name, so if there's still time, take a break from fighting and reason with each other...good luck

Maybe the name you choose would'nt fit your childs personality.

Look on the bright side :)

As soon as both of you look into your baby's eyes you'll know the right name to pick.

hat is the price you pay when you aren't married.

Ask her for a hyphenated name with both of yours.

It could be that your fiancee is sick of waiting to get married and this is her way to have some sense of control, not knowing if you and her will ever get married. What the helloooooooooare you waiting for?

explain the emotions you feel & if she doesn't agree I say that's pretty sad..My husband really wanted to name our child and although I didn't really like the name I saw how sad he got when I said no & how much he wanted it so I let him win
