Parents upbringing

Michigan just had a 13 year old beat up an infant. I listened to the interview from the father...... Yeah, definitely parental upbringing

I do think it has a lot to do with the parents and when they are home with the kids. I also think it has to do with all the electronics that allow kids that age to stay in touch constantly. Also TV and commercials seem to encourage teens to match up, the same old sex sells and that age group buy much of the products on the market. Finally, our society right now has no respect for teens or elders. Without respect, teens are doing what feels good not what would help them deal with the world.

It seems unheard of now to see a parent discipline their child, set boundaries. but I'm not sure what's going on because I couldn't even talk to a boy on the phone until high school. It seems like the parents are letting everyone else raise their kids. But it's not like things are getting any easier for parents either. The rise of cost of living is making parents work even harder just to keep a roof over their heads. Not having time for their kids. It is sad though.

I think it's because of peer pressure. All kids are influenced by there peers. And I think that the main reason kids keep doing things like this is because there parents don't give them enough supervision. If the parents spent more time with there children maybe we wouldn't have so many kids getting into trouble with drugs, Alcohol, and sex.

kids having kids ... their parents are probably much younger than they should be ... and because of that they lack the knowledge to pass it on ... *as if experience doesnt scream at you everyday?* i dont think you can blame t.v. or music or anything like that ... its the peers and the parents ... i know at 11 and even upto 15 i wasnt that big into b/fs and making out and stuff like that cause my parents taught me better than that .. but then as you got older you begin to realize what they were talking about and by then you have the respet for yourself so you are not a wh0re and thats what kids dont have now ... respect ... either for them or for other people ...

I'll tell you what it is its society. And peer pressure. I'm gonna be a parent soon. Oh and because honestly they want attention. And their family is broken. They just want to be happy and satisfied with what they can get to and what they can do its retarded. I have this one friend that is 14 and taking birth control but I still think she stupid but also she is taking care of the situation. But what these kids need is disipline. They should all be sent to boot camp or something but with all these retarded kids theres probably not enough room.

We have so many parents out working, not at home watching their kids. If their moms were there when they got home from school these kids would make better choices. With no one home who cares, the kids are free to do whatever they choose.

Interest. Fashion. Under 14 is probably too early for dating seriously. When I was 8, I remember telling a girl I love her and she said she loves me. These things are inborn.

They see it on TV and movies. Their friends are all curious and, if they haven't had parents to show them right from wrong and instill some basic morals, they don't see a problem with experimenting and showing off how "adult" they've become.
