Do you ask nicely to have another item made or nicely to have your money back or do you ask for some money back and a new item made?

I ask for a refund. If they refuse I'll take them to small claims court.

well, i recently spent almost $100 on some custom letters of my daughters name for her room. and i worry about not liking them when i get them! i would thinkthat she would re do them if i dont like them. but only because i think she said that in her ad. of course, now i am not so sure because she is no longer a registered user on ebay! but i would say it all depends. ask nicely tho for sure! some places actually say " no refund of any kind on cuyustonm things" so it all depends i guess. good luck!
