Oh I agree Hannibal Rising was not very nice at all. I mean there are 100 000 horror movies out there but they dont have the same effect on people because it wasnt filled with flashy effects of monsters and warewolves it was of a human being...
which for me is what made it so disturbing

The Excorcism of Emily Rose. I had trouble sleeping for months after seeing that.
And I have yet to see Hannibal Rising cause the past 2 weeks its been clear off the shelves at blockbuster but I have read the book. I would imagine it is way more detailed than the movie.

16mm with Nicholas Cage. He was chasing down a person who was making snuff films using real murders for his movies. Euwwwwww!!!!!! Very dark and disturbing. This movie is several years old and the reason I try not to see movies like Hostel and Hannibal Rising.

The sequel to "Silence of the Lambs"---I think it was called "Hannibal." Good grief, I felt like getting up out of the theatre and walking out. The part when Ray Liotta is sitting there eating dinner with half of his brain gone was so incredibly AWFUL!
I wanted to just cry! I still have visions of that movie every now and then and I can't stand it!

Soul Plane. It was so boring I almost turned it off. It was supposed to be funny yet I could find more comedy in watching paint dry. Hannibal Rising is on my "to watch" list. I'll get around to it in the next 100 years.

Pans Labyrinth
That movie was definitely 2 faced. The story of the little girl and this fantasy land was wonderful and a joy to watch but the movie would then cut away to her stepfather and the bloody massacres he kept committing. If I had children I never would have let them see this movie.

I don't think I have ever seen a movie that just disturbed me, but for edge of the seat gripping intense thrillers, I couldn't tear myself away from The Serpent and the Rainbow. A very intense movie.

Hannibal Rising.. :(
Lecter is presented as a soul-dead vigilante who reserves his carnage for the truly deserving; that's a long way from the Lecter of Silence of the Lambs who kills and tortures innocent and guilty alike.
and also
The Skeleton Key.... the movie is good but the end ...it depicts evil won over good... :( dats pretty bad

Dance in the Dark...excellent move with superb acting, but it was so devastating. I'm used to movies having a happy ending.
Last House On The Left....After I watched it, I couldn't believe I let such brutal images into my psyche.
Pink Flamigos....it was disgusting!
