I have a 1989 oldsmobile 88 with a 3.8L pre-series engine that I'm trying to swap with a 3.8L series II supercharged engine out of a 2003 Buick Park Ave. I know I also have to change the transmission and the computer, so i just need to know what custom work will be involved.

Hope you have about $10,000 to spend. you will need the ECU, complete engine wiring harness, motor mounts MADE, tranny mounts MADE, exhaust MADE, Engine, Tranny, Axles MADE. I'm sorry but this car is just not worth the effort.

you also have to change the exhaust system on it ,and there will be the cooling system from the other car that may have to be used, but your going to need every piece of the wiring harness for this so don't cut anything, you have a lot of work ahead of you,i have never done this, but seen it done, and that was enough for me,good luck with it.

You would have to change the wiring harness too.
