I just bought a carpet cleaning machine.I need to know how to use it.I need to know how to clean my livingroom carpet.How may times do I go over a section with carpet cleaner and how many times do I rinse.Do I keep going over one section of carpet until the water is as clean as the clean as the clean water.How do I know when my carpet is clean.

If your carpet has not been cleaned within the past 6mos, or has heavy traffic, you will never see the water clean/clear. Unless it is a fairly new carpet.
I do mine at least once a month.

I go over an area twice with the solution, and then once with rinse. Then go over the area slowly without using the rinse or wash button to suck up the excess water.

You do not want to get the padding underneath too soaked. It will damage your hard flooring underneath, if you have that.
Once your carpet is dried, ( by turning on AC and a ceiling fan, if you live in a hot area) you will see a difference in the cleanliness.
You will see a difference while it's wet, but not as much till it's dry.
