Hermione blushed.

Hey, Gabby! It's the confundus charm and it causes the person it was cast against to be confused. Hermione blushed because she actually cast a spell on an adult.

Here's a list of spells that start with C in the Harry Potter books:

Enjoy!

"[Voldemort] can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo when he wants to." -Fred Weasley "Oh, very good....Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. 'Ghosts are transparent.'" - Severus Snape "There's no need to call me sir Professor." - Harry Potter "Mr. Moony presents his compliments to Professor Snape and begs him to keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business. Mr. Prongs agrees with Mr. Moony, and would like to add that Professor Snape is an ugly git. Mr. Padfoot would like to register his astonishment that an idiot like that ever became a professor. Mr. Wormtail bids Professor Snape good day, and advises him to wash his hair, the slimeball." - Marauder's Map All of these they are just so funny! Probably the shampoo one! lmfao

when someone is confunded they are jinxed into retardness.. it's actually the effect of a JK Rowling made spell..

the effect usually doesn't last that long from what i've read in the books..

It was meant to say "Cunfounded", note the O.cunfounded

It is a dated adjective therefore only used to add emphasis. To show annoyance and wonderment.
