Do you mean a punt? I've never heard of a plunk before.

The catcher gets the sign....he relays the sign to the pitcher.....the pitcher nods his head....there is a moment as the pitcher pauses and finds his zone.....then the pitcher gets in his 'ready' stance...the pitcher goes into motion and throws the ball.....instead of crossing the plate, the ball PLUNKS the batter. If all goes well, the batter charges the mound, both dugouts empty and we got a brawl!! You gotta love those plunks!

when pitchers hit a batter in baseball and usually results in a bean fest which also means when both pitchers from both teams hit eachothers batters for retaliation.
