To negotiate the peace in Iraq.
How can a president negotiate the peace.?
1-Bring the Sunnis and the Shias to the table. Bring their friends to the table (Iran and Syria), bring the other middle eastern countries to the table (Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey). Bring the Europeans and the UN to the table.
2- As part of the peace framework, the President announces:
The US will removed all US and US controlled troops from Iraq.
The USA will remove or abandon all military bases in Iraq.
The USA will have no designs on Iraqi oil.
3-The US will contribute together with others to the rebuilding of Iraq.
Only a President can do this and without this no peace will come.
The funds for the war can not be cut without being a part of a plan as described.

Get out US out of Iraq and allow them to resolve their issues
Make an immigration reform that is fair and that works with mexico to resolve corruption in government(There are about 14 million illegals,i would deport 40% of those illegals and give the rest charters,these charters will include land that is unused in the united states in places like the mid-US,and goverment owned factories. The immigrants will have decent homes on these charters ,they will cultivate the land and work the factories and therefore help the economy as a whole,after 7 years of work the immigrants will be legalized,i woiuld also help to build a bigger fence in our mexo-american border)
Lower the usage of petroleum to reduce carbon emissions,and try to work with other heavily industrialized countreis to do the same, tax oil companies heavily to invest in social programs and research and then implement alternative energy in every day activities such as driving and factory work.I would also widen our economy around teh world with new free trade bills with asian countries,especially china
Stop all hostilities with other countries and try to regain allies that we have lost because of the bush administration, especially in europe, latin america, asia,and the middle east. The better our relationship with middleeatern countrie,then thelower our prices are at the pump.
i would help make the public school systems better by raising taxes and making sure the children attending these schools have the vital materials for a good education
I wouldalso raisetaxesto develop universal healthcare,insuring everyone has access to good quality healthcare

Spit on the present outgoing president if he ever leaves. And, then restore the Constitution of the United States. And, then get out of Iraq. All before the end of the first 2 minutes of taking office.

Abolish the parties. Put half the defence budget into education. Politely inform the world that from now on those directly supporting people who directly attack US interests, or proliferating nuclear weapons to any country no so armed, would be subject to unannounced attack. To this end, fire the CIA and replace it with an effective body. Bomb Pakistan very heavily. The actual defence forces would be reinforced while the fantasy programs like missile defence and self-healing armoured suits would be abolished.

Impose a 80% tax on personal wealth about $1 billion, and 50% above $5 million, to be used to build hospitals and schools and pay the staff. This would be a policy of childrens' rights: rights to the best education with no favours for those who happen to be born to rich parents, and no handicap for those who happen to have been born to religious parents. Right to proper health care.

I will give you a few things:

I would tell my cabinet to plan an immediate withdrawal of most forces from Iraq. I would then move a large contingency into Afghanistan where they can actually fight terrorism (as opposed to creating terrorists like is being done in Iraq) and send some air craft carriers to help enforce UN action in Sudan to help end the Darfur conflict and humanitarian crisis.

I would work more closely with the G8 and Europe in particular to lower emissions throughout the world, including pressing China and India to join in. I would work with congress to enforce immediate increase in fuel efficiency standards for all U.S. manufactured autos.

I would push congress to overhaul Bush's tax cuts that benefit primarily the wealthiest 1% and the fix the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) so the it does not impact the middle class.

I would design a universal health care program.

I would close Gitmo.
