im 13 and havent gotten my period yet. today i noticed some brownish gooey discharge when i wiped and got really scared. please help!!! what could it be?

yah i did ask; im just scared...ive heard of white, yellow, even green discharge but never brown...THEY DIDNT TEACH US THIS IN SEX ED....haha xD
also im getting my period later than everyone in my grade so i thought something was wrong...thanks

It could be your cervical mucus, which your body passes after you've ovulated. This is normal. Usually your cervical mucus is clear, but it could have a little blood in it, which would account for the brown color. It sounds like your hormones are starting to kick in, and you may start your period soon. Sometimes your body will pass a little bit of brown blood before your period or between periods. It's normal, especially when you're younger and your body's hormones are starting to work, and then when you get older and start menopause it will happen again. It's nothing to worry about. Well you could be on the start of starting your period . Dont worry yourself to much over it starting your period is a very exciting yet can be annoying after a while but starting your period is exciting because your becoming a women ! =D but im not saying for sure your gonna start soon or anything just be sure that its most likely normal so relax if it keeps happening consult your family doctor and get some advise if it worries you that much !

Everyones bodies are different. The brownish may be your getting ready to have a period. I'm 24 and this is how mine always starts. I find it kind of nice...because it kind of give you for warning that your about to start. I never wanted to be one of those girls that had a red spot on her pants when she got up to walk out of class.

Wow ...this is the same thing that happened to my daughter. Honey i believe you just got your period. I asked a question about my daughter kelsey starting hers. She explained to me as a dark brown discharge. Kind of on the gooey sticky slimy side. I am glad she tells me these things so now i know whats going on with other people...younger woman! i think of i understand what you're talking approximately. Sounds lots like my era, yet everytime. i'm on pills for that now, regardless of the undeniable fact that. Are you taking any hormones that could be useful you get pregnant? which may be the reason. i might say communicate on your well-being care expert, in case you do no longer understand what's up.

ur about to get ur period sometimes it comes out like that on the 1st day or the day before. Buy some pads, wear them because it will most likely come.

OMG thats the same thing that happened to me...i asked here too if i got it explaioning what you had. Apparently i have my period i started almost a month ago i guess. I think you got it ....lol . SO yeah i had the same EXACT THING you have. you got it! good luck hope i helped.
