How do you pronounce the first name of Dr.Oz's first name?

Dr.Oz on Oprah has a really weird name. You spell it M-E-H-M-E-T

Phonetically, almost exactly as it is written. The e's are flat. MEH-MET. That's about the best I can put it!

It's one more variation of Mohammed, Muhammad, Mahomet, etc., etc. I'd say MEH-met, with both vowels about the same, and an H in between the syllables--like the H in "they had" only a little softer. I don't suppose it would be Arabic, but it might come closer than SHRO-der or SHRAY-der come to Schroeder!
