When you hear the doorbell ring, do you sometimes pretend you're not home. I just did that....It's late at night and I'm alone. Why would someone come over, uninvited, late at night and ring the doorbell except to so something really bad to me!!!???

I have done that before. It bugs me when people just show up unannounced at my house.

I am like you, I do not like to answer the door, especially at night. In this day and age, you can't open your door to just anyone, or you'll be putting yourself in danger. Isn't it a shame that it has had to come to this? From what my Mom said, when she was small the last person in the house at night, locked the door. A much simpler and easier time. Now a person has how many locks on there doors?!!!!

OK yesterday I was in the living room watching TV with my 2 kids. There was this guy as USUAL going door to door ttrying to get people to sign up for phone service. "
I am SICK of him comign around.... dont they KNOW they already signed us up and to leave us alone?"
ANyways, so the mini blinds are kinda open and you can see in the living room. SO the guy knocks on the door and I IGNORE him LOL! I act liek I am not home. But my kids start makign noise and saying MOMMY the DOOR! I still ignore it LOL , I thought he couldnt see me. SO he walks over to the window and waves HI!! AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA HE knew I was there ignoring him!!!

I've pretended not to be home when solicitors or church people have come to my door. Late at night I make my hubby answer the door or look out the window to see who it is, If I don't know them, I don't answer!

Either pretend you aren't home or have your Dad / Husband open the door in his underwear.

It was one of those weird people from a phone company that rang you up and you hung up on him, now he wants revenge by making you sign all these phone contracts
