you could have pulled a muscle. Or it could be something else. Try these things and if it doesnt get better within 3 days go to a doctor....
1. put a heating pad on the part that hurts
2. go to a local pharmacy (like CVS) and buy a muscle relaxer, put it on every 2 hours for two days.
3. drink TONS of water
4. and of course sleep
If it still hurts after three days, you need to go to a doctor immediately.

Lay on your back and press down on your abdomen below your belly button. Release the pressure suddenly. If the release of pressure is extremely painful, get to a doctor. Appendicitis sometimes first becomes noticeable as back pain. Also, take your temperature.
It could also be referred pain. You could have a misalignment of your spine causing pressure on a nerve.

Sounds like a possible nerve or muscle problem. Sitting can cause your muscles to bunch especially if you have some extra weight.

This can be because of a Kidney Stone, it could be a pulled muscle, or it could be that you are getting spasmed out because of lack of exercise. Go to the Doc. to make sure nothing is wrong with your kidneys, also get checked for disc injury/muscle damage. Get motivated to start thinking about your health.

Unecessary pounds puts a great deal of stress on the anatomy of the lower back. Start with an orthopedist who will put you in therapy. And then, for your health's sake, lose weight.
