Umm I've gotten a lot of different things... I've gotten Italian the most, then Brazilian (which, technically I am but I'm Portuguese, I just lived in Brazil), Spanish, Moroccan, Greek...etc. Anything really. Oh I've also gotten Mexican before, lol. Some guy when I was in LA asked me if I was mexican with a shifty look on his face, then when I told him I wasn't he said "thought not" which confused me haha.

I come from Malta, a small Island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, some sixty miles south of Sicily.
The population is just over 400,000 only. I never had any problem about your question. We are a mixed kind of people, that is you find people with a dark or less dark tan, like the North African people and you find also fair people. Well, Malta was for many centuries a colony of other big countries,
last of them the English and so here are a lot of people whose
ancestors are foreign. Our main language is Maltese, only
spoken here but then we are able to speak many other languages. Our second language is English, then Italian and French. Many also cross marriaged with foreign people and so tthere isn't any straight line.

I am very tan because I am from California and I moved to a place where it is not sunny often and everyone always jokes around and they say things like, how was crossing the boarder this morning or go back to your own country, and it makes me angry because I'm Russian, Italian, American. And then when I tell them that they start going to German jokes, people are so stupid.

I use to be really tan from the tanning bed and I have naturally curly hair... people would always think I was mixxed, other than that some girl at work would always asked me if I was Cuban... don't know where she got that from but I told her many times .. no and she still from time to time would ask.

I'm like you, raised in the military and lived all over. I think I have heard it all. People have guessed everywhere in this country (USA). Now I'm in SC and everyone knows I;m not from here.

People automatically assume I am from the Islands because of my coloring (complexion) and the texture of my jet black hair.
Are they assume I am half Indian or mixed with a different race other than African American...which I probably am.
