I'm from SD, and I'm just curious to know what people think of America's Finest City ;p Just a random question.

I think it's a great city to live in and I love it. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and came down here 6 years ago for college and stayed after graduating b/c I love it down here a lot. I love the Bay Area too and it will always be my home but San Diego is just as great.
The weather is perfect (except this year has been really cold), the people are nice, friendly, laid back, and unpretentious. You meet nice, cool people from all the country. There are so many things to do all the time, it's hard to get bored here. It's close to many other great destinations like Mexico, LA, OC, and Vegas. The beaches are the best and warmest in CA. Traffic is much better than LA or the Bay Area and housing is cheaper than the Bay Area and LA too. You get so much more for your money here than up in those places.
San Diego is just a chill, laid back, and sunny beach town where people just enjoy life and enjoy living here.

Came from the LA area 11 years ago, and must say San Diego is the place to be. We're spoiled rotten with Beaches, Weather, Amusement Parks, Shopping Districts, etc. etc. Many friends from out of town comment on how much they enjoy visiting SD, and would like to visit again very soon.

I live in San Diego and I don't care for it too much......The majority of the people from here are rude and fake!! I like going to the mountains and to a certain degree I enjoy the weather. I prefer the East Coast though, the people are far more polite and easy going. The driving here is crazy!!! If you don't go at least 80 your going to get nailed!!!

i have lived here for 7 years and i do not like it at all. I do not appreciate the weather because there is no change at all. fall feels like spring and spring feels like summer. I hate that people are consumed by the objects they own and don't; appreciate the little things. My little sister is a coach and star buck fanatic. she is 13.... what ever happened to picking apple off of the tree or just hanging out with friends at the movie theaters.... San Diego to me is like a mini Hollywood and its all about the nice things you have. (keep in mind i have the nice things, i just don't care to have them as much as others)

Its the most gorgeous place here in the states!!! Specially the city of Carlsbad!!LOL! We have an amazing view of the beach!!!

I don't like it.
At first the city looks great.
The first time i visited it i noticed the bums,(one of them was in such a bad shape he could'nt even walk properly),the fake tanned chicks who think they're all that and a bag of chips,the fake surfers who think they're hot when they look like crap,the weather sucks,the news are pathetic,people are rude and everybody drives like a nut in here,plus they are no open spaces for kids.Balboa park is joke compared to other parks in big cities....

It's our favorite city to run away to...and we only live about an hour north, so we can do it frequently...personally, I love Coronado, Point Loma and Old Town, but all of it's beautiful.
