I don't know that there are any really major ones left in Canada..We have advertising for gay couples for mortgages and banking...gay couple car loans...gay vacations...gay wedding packages.....I think we are pretty well covered...Everyone wants to make a buck.....
The ONLY place where I see the system failing, and I am already seeing progress here....is in the care of older glbts...I certainly don't want to end up in a homophobic senior center.. without being allowed to sleep with my partner of now 20 years.

I don't know about more. Seems to me that all the latest and greatest technologies, fashions, music, etc. are created or sustained by GLBT. I feel marketed to-death!
I strongly believe that alcohol-related sponsorships for GLBT activities in the community should NOT be the premise and image that is portrayed more often than not to our foes or the general public! It is over-marketing to a community that can be susceptible to addictive behaviours.
If you could market common sense, I would say that. But thats not a GLBT issue, its a people issue.

Da Ben Dan hit the bull's-eye with that answer. I work for a large non-profit org that professes to address the most important issues facing seniors today, (hint: there's four letters in its name, and it starts with an 'A'), but they have yet to pay any considerable attention at all to the issue of GLBT seniors facing retirement and aging-in-place issues. They have given some coverage to a new trend in assisted and independent living communities for seniors in this particular group, but what exists at this point in time is not enough.
Besides housing, legal services need to be made available and promoted as well. The legal and financial benefits that marriage provides to heterosexual couples are still far out of reach for gay couples in many states, and as gay boomers reach age 50 and beyond, they need to know about any and all alternatives they can utilize to protect their legal rights and their financial assets. There have been too many horror stories about too many life-partnered couples ripped apart by callous, uncaring relatives; their homes, belongings and even all their financial assets seized and squandered after being carefully tended to for so many years. That has to stop NOW.
GLBT seniors need to know that as they age, they can find places where they are wanted and where they want to be. And they need to know that they will be able to spend their twilight years together, just like any other long-term couples.

Back in the 80's, when the New Wave genre was hot, it was full of Gay artist. Today, you hardly hear of any played on the radio.
I can't stand today's music. I think it is boring and quite negative. I know I would subscribe to a queer only satellite radio. (Not the mainstream that gives us one station, which is talk.)

home equity loans, banks are ignoring the fact that many gay people are home owners and there are no banks cornering that market.

Well, safer sex supplies, for one. Also, the above answerer is correct... we need more supplies for transfolk! It's fairly near impossible to get things, save via the internet.
