Truth be told...quite a bit when people automatically associate you with welfare, no baby daddy, ghetto and other stereo-types that are so untrue...some people can not over look color and just judge the person based on character.
I try very hard 2 over look ignorant people but they make it hard when they put it directly in your face...you have 2 face it head on.
I think everyone should have 2 swap colors/races (4 a day)just so we could see and understand what it feels like 2 be on the other side of the fence.

Not much, but during the summer I get real sick and tired of people telling me I need a tan. I was born this color and I don't care if being tan is the "it" thing to do! I am high risk for skin cancer. And the way people don't believe I tan, everyone assumes I burn easily and I have to show pictures of when I used to lay in the sun just to get them to believe me. Annoying!

I guess that would depend on WHAT color your skin is.

Skin color or race/ethnicity is only one aspect that can dominate or oppress a person. Race, class, gender, ethnicity and sexuality- to name only a few- are items which can simultaneously oppress or free a person. A white man may benefit from his race and his gender while a black man does not benefit from his race OR his gender.

Take a sociology class to get a better idea here- or, better yet, hit the library and read a book!

During the summer, quite a bit. I am not a fan of summer, because I burn so easily, and I look like a freaky ghost in shorts (worse in bathing suit). Plus, my skin causes me a lot of problems too. I itch constantly, because I have eczema, and psorisis, my skin is blotchy, and always dry. Not pretty. I have nieces and nephews that are bi-racial and they have the prettiest skin. I wish I had their skin.

I am the most discriminated person in the world the white male, we don't have quotas for jobs like other races and genders, we don't get special interest rates like other races or genders we don't have our own TV channel called White Entertainment Channel, we don't have the NAAWP like some races. When applying for government jobs we don't get points added to our score because we are female or of another race, so let me ask you why?

Honestly?
It probably gets me more attention then if I was ... pinky white. And a lot of 'where are you from?' questions, although my accent also gives that away.
Oh and during the winter people are always like 'people like you should be more tan!' lol.
