We are going to Vegas next month with our 2 young kids. What is the best place to stay without it being too expensive?

Some one mentioned Excalibur. Uh, only if your ok with tiny rooms, tacky decor and no bath tub. I dont recommend this for small kids. (Or anyone with a little class for that matter) I recommend MGM Grand, it's near fun kid places like NY NY and Excalibur & has a fabulous pool area including lazy river. There's a ton of restaurants, many are affordable & kid friendly. More importantly, they have rooms at a good price that are quality rooms--check out the online deals on their site. (Oh, dont forget to take your kids to the M&M store-it's a blast & they'll love it) Have a good trip!

Circus, Circus will be the best for your kids. Its got lots of FREE circus acts, an amusement park, carnival games, etc. As a bonus you can take them to the stratosphere tower down the street for the best view of the city($10) or trot next door from circus to Slots of Fun for their world famous half pound hot dog($.99). If you stay somewhere nice there are services like kiddie hosts and stuff but those do cost a pretty penny.

The Orleans is the best kept secret in Vegas. It has lots of things to do for the kids. Even a bowling alley and it is off the strip so no porno pictures being passed to anyone with eyes. There is a shuttle to strip free from hotel.

Circus Circus is affordable and more family orientened, it's away from a lot of the hype on the main part of Las Vegas Blvd too. Harrah's is affordable as well, as it's not neccessarily geared towards families, but it wouldn't be inappropriate either.

Circus Circus-it has an amusement park and everything has a clown theme (hence the name)-the rooms aren't bad and since it is an older casino the rates tend to be a little less expensive and the restaurants are a little cheaper

The best place to stay in vegas with kids is the "Circus Circus". they have alot of kid stuff and casinos for adults! they have rides and everything!

We stayed in Mandolay bay with kids and it was fine, if not a little pricey. Another good place is the Mirage -- it has a good outdoor area.

I know you won't like this, but its the truth: Don't take your kids there.
Vegas is really for adults only.
At least the tourist part. Its regarded as a great city to live in.
But really, its a town where anything goes. Booze, gambling, smoking, strippers, and prostitution (illegal, but still happens) Go to Disneyworld. Or anywhere else.
