Wow... that is a very good question! I don't believe that I have seen it in my paper yet! I am going to have to investigate this issue!

My local newspaper charges for announcements and calls it 'Celebrations' in the Sunday edition of the paper. It also includes graduations, anniversaries, and birthdays. The philosophy of the newspaper is "You pay for it, we print it."

Here in small town right wing Kansas, they pretend that gays don't exist in the local paper. Pretty sad.

No, they don't, sadly. My local newspaper is highly, highly conservative, and has even earned the epithet "The State Urinal". They'd never print them.
