There are over 4000 schools in America and over 500,000 international students come to the USA each year to enter university. So, it is impossible to describe how school works in the USA in only a few words.

Some schools are very elite - difficult to be admitted, very tough courses and very high standards for the level of academics. Other schools are very low academically, compared to the typical school in the UK. Most American schools are very much more expensive than in the UK, but they also have very much more activity -- more laboratory and technical facilities, more sports, big student centers, a wide variety of clubs on campus.... a school one of my sons went to had over 400 different kinds of clubs for students, including more than 40 different musical groups, a juggling club, a club to climb trees, and every other possible kind of activity that young people might like to try.

With thousands to choose from, you can find a school in the US that will match your academic credentials and your interests.

It depends what you want from the experience. If you just want to go to the US for the sake of going to another country like a holiday then I would not consider it yet. It could be the greatest experience you will ever have or the worst. And so could it be at one of the UK colleges or varsities. It depends on your attitude, aptitude and willingness to work. If you have all 3 of those then you could make a success anywhere. If that is the case and you want a change of scenery and culture then maybe the US would be a nice change. There are also lots of other good places to go and study at in Europe, Australia and the rest of the world.

If you exchange UK money to US money you will have more money, so i guess it's cheaper to go to school in the US if you have a lot of money in the UK. As for the level of teaching it depends on the kinds of classes you take. If you take easy, slack off classes you will dont receive the best educational experiences but if you do take difficult classes you will receive a better level of teaching. But overall i think the UK level of teaching might be higher.

If you get accepted into one of the Ivy League colleges, the education will be "top notch." But if not, I'm sure that the universities in the UK must be more challenging and ultimately a better experience. If you do decide to go to college in the U.S. work hard and don't get too into the party scene.

i'm going to accept as true with people who say Colombia. The media portrays various international places in Latin united statesa. (which includes Colombia) as particularly risky and risky, yet particularly some the time, this is purely in specific areas of those international places. In Colombia, the themes are constrained to the South. substantial cities jointly with Bogota, Cartagena, Santa Martha, and Barranquilla are all particularly secure. The Spanish in Colombia is likewise known because of the fact the purest (meaning this is closest to the unique) Spanish interior the international, so this is an dazzling spot for a pupil. Colombia has a sort of robust custom and historical past you may spend time getting to know approximately. additionally, this is low-value, very almost as plenty (if no longer as plenty) as substantial American international places, it particularly is particularly advantageous. Chile isn't any doubt additionally a alluring united states -- it has a protracted selection of climates and ecosystems, and additionally has a marvelous cultural selection (various indigenous communities, as an occasion). It additionally leads Latin united statesa. in terms of progression (Human progression Index). As for interpreting overseas, Chile is large as nicely. Uruguay and Argentina are additionally surprising international places which you're able to desire to exlpore sometime on your existence, yet i do no longer understand plenty approximately their classes. Venezuela is an outstanding united states, yet is presently risky in distinctive areas, so i could dodge it for now. As for substantial united statesa., there are additionally some solid classes there, maximum dazzling is Antigua (in Guatemala). all the substantial American international places are especially alluring (and maximum of them are unspoiled), so that they are additionally worth places. notwithstanding, as one among your first interpreting overseas, i could nevertheless advise Colombia or Chile. in short, i prefer to advise Colombia, and then Chile.
