Why doesn't he just ask his son?

He can check the county for the paperwork filed...but if his son didn't tell him, maybe there are reasons for that and you all should just accept that. His married life has NOTHING to do with your husband.

has he asked his son if this is the case? I wonder why he wouldnt tell his own father he got married.

his father could check his county office (it is an open record issue when people apply for a marriage license). if he took a trip recently to tahoe or vegas or reno, he may want to check the county offices there. you can look online, but the sites are fee for service.

Marriage licenses are recorded in county court. If that county has a web site he can find out. If not, he can visit the courthouse or call them. Marriages are a matter of public record. Why doesn't he believe who ever told him? Why doesn't he ask his son?

If the father wants to know then just ask the son.

If they do not get along as I assume they do not then the father should figure out why he is not liked and let the son be.
