I do! I do! and I am glad you do too! The spellings here are atrocious! I so hope it is typos and not a reflection on education in the US!!!!

Apparently so, yes. Actually until I read this question, I didn't realize there was the function of spell-checking on here. I guess I just focus on the answers I am giving and don't pay attention to the screen. I correct my spelling because I care to distinguish myself from other obviously un-educated posters on Yahoo! Answers...
...Wow! Now you have me wondering, too! If it is so easy to make spelling correct, WHY do so many people go on without it?
Some people are just on another planet, I guess.
Hope this helps! ;-)

I use Firefox, so it automatically checks mine without having to hit "check spelling." But, indeed, you and I and the few other people that have replied to this post may be the only people that spell check their answers. I have a few other things that peeve me too. For example: Typing in all caps or all lowercase. Using numbers for words (2 instead of to). Shortening words by purposefully misspelling them (b instead of be, or sum instead of some).

Some of us are good at spelling without the spell check.

I'm sure your not the only one. But obviously this annoys you or you wouldn't have asked the question. If you can make out what a person said, why does it matter? Is it something about being a perfectionist?

Nope, I usually do, too. I also check to see if each sentence has proper grammar.
