They would be hungry, yes. Hopefully they would "catch up" by eating more the next day, or the next time they were fed. They wouldn't die, but irregular feedings aren't good for horses. If they aren't in a pasture where they can help themselves to food when they want it, then they need fed just like people need to eat regularly.

Exactly. Like us their body would just use some fat stored away but also taking some muscle. But for horses, they only eat twice a day, so their body needs more food. Then when they are hungry, they are more weak and a lot hungrier than we are when we skip a meal because we are suppose to eat every 4 hours. Some horses will even start to eat wood for food.

Horses need a constant food supply. Normally that comes from hay or grass. When you skip a feeding it puts the horse at a higher risk for getting colic. As long as she has another source of food and plenty of water she will be fine.

some horses are basically very antisocial. it would want to be very conceivable that the pony replaced into no longer acceptable gelded and is proud minimize (there replaced into also a component going round that some geldings improve elements of their testes having gelding, yet i do not comprehend if it really is fairly authentic or no longer). yet I easily have ridden various horses which will tolerate different horses even as they are being ridden, and then even as they are became out wreck down fences, and so on., basically to pass beat up yet another horse. there isn't any longer even some thing bodily incorrect with them, yet they are very territorial. i might want to anticipate that this horse is proud minimize, because the habit he's showing is amazingly stallion-like.

It depends on what you mean missing a meal. If they are turned out, or have plenty of hay, then missing a hard feed would probably annoy him, because it is a change to his routine. It would probably feel like you would if you had been waiting all day for a do-nut or something, and it didn't turn up, not hungry as such, but just missing something.

They would be fine for just one meal, but something that I learned is that if horses don't eat on a regular schedule, it can cause colic. (same with switching feeds. you have to do it gradually) So always try to feed your horse at the same times of day :)

hey there. okay, I live on a farm and we have lots of animals. Im in charge of feedins some poultry and two calves. Sometimes I have skipped feeding times, but once shouldnt be too bad. I think they would just be a little upset, and with livestock, they have the tendency to break out of their fence. Although with younger baby animals though, its of course much more important that they get fed often. I hope this helped you out!
