i finally told the boy that has a huge crush on me that we;re never gonna happen. he was like "but oppisites attract..."
and im like "not always...we're opposites and we dont attract."
was that mean?...he really wouldnt let off so i said it plain and simple. i think i hurt his feelings...

No, I don't think it was mean. I think it's much better for people to just tell the truth in a situation like that, instead of leading the guy on when you know you'd never date him...His feelings may be hurt a little, but I think he would be much more upset if he spent a lot of time thinking that you maybe liked him too, and then finding out that you never liked him at all. If that was the case, he'd probably feel like he was being lied to. So, I think you did the best thing by telling him that it was never gonna happen.

You spoke your point of view and it wasn't that bad of a rejection. If you see him again just say "hi" and that being casual friends is all you'd like to be.
